GOD ON-THE-GO!

Hello Dear Reader,
Its a beautiful Sunday and its great to be alive, safe and healthy, by the mercies and love of our great God...

And in the light of my thought for today, I would like to share a short story of a rather funny scenario that took place at my work place some few years back...

So I was deployed to a new project and two of my team members and I were meeting one of the project owners at their office location... As expected there were greetings and exchange of pleasantries, then the man meeting us for the first time seemed to have some sense of humor... So as he asked each of us our names, he made a follow-up comment probably based on the way the name sounds...

I introduced myself last and like others, I only said my first name... Then he goes "ahh this one looks like a Christian"... We all laughed it over, and I asked him humorously, "how do Christians look?" Lol... I had to ask, 'cos he has never met me before, I was not carrying any Bible nor was I wearing a robe or something, I was dressed in corporate just like others, and of course I was neither muttering any prayers nor was I speaking in unknown tongues, Lol... Well, it just passed and we continued to the business that brought us... But for awhile, the thought lingered in my mind, and then I drew a lesson from it which inspired this post...

You know Believers are called the Temples of God, in other words, God desires to express His personality and His character to all men in the Earth, and the only way He can do that is through human bodies... So the believer becomes the face of God where ever he finds himself, and he becomes the 'God' or 'Jesus' that the unbelievers can see physically...

This was also what Jesus exemplified and introduced in what we now call Christianity and the Church... But then we find it a rather sad truth that we often let the 'Church-life' last on  Sundays only, while we live the rest of the week like God is in sleep-mode... We are often quick to forget that the Church is not the building, but the people, so as soon as the Sunday service is shut down, we also shut down our minds from anything  spiritual maybe apart from our routine morning devotions which we carry out as a religious obligation...

But then, if we must represent God like He desires, we must ask the Holy Spirit to help us, so we could remain sensitive and connected to God's frequency any day and every day, 'cos indeed, the events that play put in the physical activities we are mostly preoccupied with are being engineered from the realm of the spiritual...

So dear reader, as much as we hardly forget to take our mobile phones along with us no matter how busy our  physical activities get, lets also remind ourselves that we are God's mobile temples and as such we must retain our God-conciousness daily on-the-go... And He is counting on us as He desires much more than anything else to reach out to as many unsaved persons as possible through our daily lives...

By the enablement of the Spirit of God we can trust God to reach that point in our relationship with Him where we must not necessarily need to talk, walk, or act 'religiously' for those around us to know we are Christians, but that the simple atmosphere around us exudes an unusual and indescribable aura that can only be attributed to the presence of God...

It was said of the Early Disciples, that people took notice of them because they perceived that they had been with Jesus... And such is the testimony about those who has been deeply immersed in the glory of God's presence, and I believe nothing gladdens our Heavenly Father's heart more than seeing His sons and daughters present and represent Him correctly and effectively...

And never forget, it is never about you, but about Him and His Glory!

Thank you for reading...😊
