GOD ON-THE-GO!

Hello Dear Reader,
Its a beautiful Sunday and its great to be alive, safe and sound; by the infinite mercies and matchless love of our great God...

And in the light of my thought for today, I would like to share a short story of a rather weird scenario that took place at my work place some few months back...

So I was deployed to a new project and two of my team members and I were meeting one of the project owners at their office location... As expected there were greetings and exchange of pleasantries, then the man meeting us for the first time seemed to have some sense of humor... So as he asked each of us our names, he made a follow-up comment probably based on the way the name sounds...

I introduced myself last and like others, I also said my first name.. Then he goes 'ahh this one looks like a Christian'.. hmm... We all laughed it over, and I asked him humorously, 'so how do Christians look?'..Lol.. I had to ask of course 'cos I was not carrying any Bible nor was I wearing a robe or something, I was dressed in corporate just like others, and of course I was neither muttering any prayers nor was I speaking in unknown tongues, Lol...

Well it just passed and we continued to the business that brought us, but for awhile, the thought lingered in my head, especially as this was probably not the first time someone was making an impression such like about me.. Though I know I could be quite introverted and do not get involved in much chitty chatty conversations, but then I was not the only introvert around, why would I always be the one they would call 'pastor' humorously.. *actually gave me concern at some point* Lol...

Well not cause it was a bad reputation to have, but 'cos being the introvert type, I do not pray visibly, I do not carry my Bible to the office, nor do I get involved in religious discussions, yet am being given this 'religious' reputation... Well over time I just had to get use to it.. Lol.. And then I drew a lesson from it also, which is the aim of this post...

You know Believers are called the Temples of God, in other words, God desires to express His personality and His character to all men in the Earth, and the only way He can do that is through human bodies... So the believer becomes the face of God where ever he finds himself, and he becomes the 'God' or 'Jesus' that the unbelievers can see physically...

This was also what Jesus exemplified and introduced in what we now call Christianity and the Church... But then we find it a rather sad truth that we often let the 'Church-life' last on  Sundays only, while we live the rest of the week like God is in sleep-mode... We are often quick to forget that the Church is not the building, but the people, so as soon as the Sunday service is shut down, we also shut down our minds from anything  spiritual maybe apart from our routine morning devotions that we carry out more like a religious ritual...

But then, if we must represent God like He desires, we must ask the Holy Spirit to help us, so we could remain sensitive and connected to God's frequency any day and every day, 'cos indeed, the so-called physical activities we are most preoccupied with are being engineered from the realm of the unseen...

So dear reader, as much as we hardly forget to take our mobiles with us no matter how busy our  physical activities get, lets also always remember that we are God's mobile temples... And He is counting on us as He desires much more than anything to reach out to as many unsaved persons as possible through our daily lives...

Lets seek towards a time when we do not need to act, walk, talk or dress 'religiously' for those around us to know we are Christians, but that the simple atmosphere around our presence exudes an unusual and indescribable aura of one carrying the presence of the Most High God...
It was said of the Early Disciples,  that people took notice of them because they perceived that they had been with Jesus... And such is the testimony about one who has been deeply immersed in the glory of God's presence...

And then never forget, its never about you, but about His Glory!

Have a great Sunday Friends!
