What is God's priority for humanity today?
When a person begins a relationship with God through Jesus Christ, it is often easy to think that the goal is all about living the 'good life'; the good-life in the sense of having all the good 'things' of life at your disposal to freely enjoy... Then we tend to quickly forget that the life which God calls His children to is called an 'Eternal life'; a life that does not begin and end on one's Earthly journey...
So, many would often occupy themselves more with seeking to get as much 'blessings' as they can get from God... From the basics of food to eat, clothes for the body, good health; to others such as material wealth and prosperity, promotions, a great family, and every other provision that makes life comfortable and enjoyable...
But the truth is; As much as it is God's desire to bless His children with all the 'blessings', He has a deeper and more far-reaching priority with regards to His relationship with humanity today...
To put this in perspective; Do you know that at some point in God's Eternal plan, there is going to be a New Earth? One different from the one we currently know, in all ramifications?
Like John the Apostle wrote about in Revelations 21:1 (NIV) - "Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea."
And there is nothing more of a priority to God today than ensuring He gets as many people as possible to make it into His new Earth... A revelation that if acknowledged would surely alter our perspective to the present Earth in which we live and all the things therein...
Many Ages and Dispensations have passed; from the very beginnings of God's creation of this Earth, to the Fall of Lucifer, to the flood of Noah... And yet another great event will take place at some point, which will unravel a New Earth, heralding a new Age in God's agenda, with further plans which are yet unknown to us...
So, in this present day, nothing is more utmost in God's heart than to have humanity reconciled to Him through Faith in His Son Jesus Christ Whom He gave as the one final sacrifice to restore the fallen humanity back to a loving relationship with their Creator; as that is the only guarantee that humanity will feature in God's eternal and timeless plans...
Jesus Himself emphasized this when He spoke saying: "I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent."; according to Luke 15:7 (NIV); thereby re-echoing God's depth of love for lost humanity...
Yes! God desires to give you a great life filled with all the good things of life, but more importantly, He desires your cooperation and your participation in His eternal plans which stretches beyond the now to a realm where the limitations of space and time do not exist...
Moreso, God does not only want you saved, He also wants to use you to save as many people as possible; by empowering you to reach out to the unsaved with the message of His love, if only you would open up your heart and let Him...
Therefore, if you have not yet began the journey, by accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour, I invite you to say the short prayer below sincerely from your heart; or if you have already began the journey, I encourage you to utilize every opportunity at your disposal to share with someone about God's love and His plans for their lives in relation to their Eternity, because that is God's priority today!
Pray with me:
"Dear God, I thank you for giving me life.
I thank you for giving Your Son Jesus Christ to die for my sins.
I thank you for paying the price for me to be reconciled back to You.
I believe in You and I believe in Your Son.
Today, I give you my life and my heart, and I ask You Jesus
Christ to come be the Lord and Shepherd of my life.
I commit to follow You all the days of my life.
And I ask Your Holy Spirit to help me in this decision today.
Thank you because I know You have heard me,
for in Jesus name I pray. Amen!"
Yes! It's that simple, and you do not need to feel like it!
For the Bible tells us in Romans 10:9-10 (NIV) "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."
You only need to believe it and go ahead to tell others about your new decision... And also find a group of believers to help you as you grow further in your faith... And I am confident that soon enough, you will begin to see the difference in your life.
Please feel free to contact me if you need any help or assistance with regards to the Christian Faith.
God bless you!
