New Year Greetings and Blessings to you all dear members and followers of The GLORY PLACE.
We give all the glory and praises to our Most Merciful and Most Faithful God for seeing us all through the year 2025 and bringing us all alive to see the new year 2026... I also believe we have indeed experienced the molding, making, pruning, and beautifying hand of God in diverse ways during the past year in line with our 2025 year theme-"Fashioned For His Glory!"...
I equally believe that we are geared up to face the new year with re-enforced faith, re-newed strength, and re-vitalised hope; even as we keep running this race with our eyes on Jesus, while banking on the non-negotiable help of His Holy Spirit...
I gladly welcome you to the year 2026 and I congratulate you greatly for making it here alive and well...
Regarding our watchword for the year 2026...
The Bible speaking in the book of Hebrews 12:2 (God's Word translation) says:
📖"We must focus on Jesus, the source and goal of our faith. He saw the joy ahead of Him, so He endured death on the cross and ignored the disgrace it brought Him. Now He holds the honored position—the one next to God the Father on the heavenly throne."📖
And Paul the Apostle wrote in the book of Colossians 1:27 (God's Word translation):
📖" God wanted His people throughout the world to know the glorious riches of this mystery—which is Christ living in you, giving you the hope of glory."📖
In our world today where the distractions are getting increasingly enormous, and many are being driven daily by the quest to amass as much good things of life as they possibly can by all means... And where many today even in Christendom are gradually losing focus on the Main Personality and ultimate goal of Christianity; where Christ-centered spiritual activities are gradually being replaced with contents that are more appealing and exciting to man's physical senses...
Our theme for this year serves as a solemn reminder and a call to return and realign our focus on the One Who matters the most in Christianity-the One without Whom the word 'CHRIST-ianity' would have no meaning and would have never existed...
We must again remind ourselves that CHRISTianity is first and foremost about CHRIST-giving the totality of our lives to His Lordship, following His footsteps, learning from His example, and growing progressively into His image-becoming more like Him in character-attitudes, words, and actions... Until the day we transit to eternity where our earthly mortal bodies will be changed into the same spiritual immortal body Jesus wears now in Heaven...
Everyone else in the picture and everything else we do in the process only serves as aids or catalysts to help us attain that ultimate goal... So, this year we are reinforcing our focus on Jesus Christ our Great High Priest and the Greatest Hero of our Christian Faith, even as we equally resist the temptation to look more towards men, pursuing men more than we pursue Christ, or ascribing to men such glory that should only be given to Christ...
The Bible says in Hebrews 2:9-10 (God's Word translation):
📖 "Jesus was made a little lower than the angels, but we see Him crowned with glory and honoUr because He suffered death. Through God’s kindness He died on behalf of everyone. God is the One for whom and through whom everything exists. Therefore, while God was bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was the right time to bring Jesus, the Source of their salvation, to the end of His work through suffering."📖
The GLORY PLACE welcomes you once again to the year 2026...
And I pray for you: 🙏🏻"May your life indeed reflect the light of Christ without a doubt. May His Holy Spirit keep your eyes fixed on Jesus in every season you come by this year. Your life shall be a worthy testament of the goodness of Christ, and many shall come to His saving grace through your testimony. May His presence always abide with you and may His wisdom guide you all through this year; in Jesus' name... Amen!"🙏🏻
Go forth in the strength and grace of our Saviour, LORD, and King Jesus Christ, and may your life reveal His glory in reality; for indeed 'CHRIST JESUS is OUR HOPE OF GLORY'!
