As we begin the journey of the year 2022 with utmost passion and pursuit to make the best out of it, we cannot overemphasize our need for the mercy of God...
The mercy of God is not just for the sinners or for those who do not know God, but the mercy of God is for one and all, because it is only by His mercy that He looks beyond our imperfections and the fallibility of our human nature, and attends to our needs and prayers regardless...
The mercy of God through the greatness of His glory and His love for us (by the finished work of Christ on the cross) is the reason why we can stand before God without the guilt or shame of our past, present, or future faults and failures...
The mercy of God without a doubt is also the reason why humanity is still in existence, even with the outspoken rebellion and open disregard for God and His Word in many societies and world institutions...
Therefore in the year 2022, we shall not only acknowledge our need for God's mercy, but we shall also be latching on to His mercy as we go about our endeavours throughout the year, trusting Him to grant us grace and good success...
And my prayer is: May we continually obtain God's mercy and thereby find grace in His sight to supply us with all that we need to navigate through every season of the year 2022 and come out victorious to the glory of His Majesty, in Jesus name. Amen!
